A Taste of What's To Come!

Tonight for date-night (we decided not to give up on them just yet!) Dave got to pick so we went to Applebees. Pooch (the fetus) was demanding the sampler platter...very insistantly. Mommy (me, hehe) wanted the Oriental chicken wrap...very badly. So...we got both! However, the platter came first because it's an appetizer, so by the time the entree came Mommy was stuffed. Pooch won out.
And then I suddenly realized...this is how it's going to be once Pooch is born! The needs of the baby will always come before the needs of the mama! And the mama may not get to do/have what she wants for years because she'd rather sacrifice for the baby!
It was a cute realization for me at this stage of mama-dom, but let's see how cute it is in 2 or 3 years, hehehe!
